THE NEW DISCUSSION BOARD IS UP, YOU MUST REGISTER TO BE ABLE TO POST. PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED USERS PLEASE LOGIN USING YOUR OLD USERNAME AND USING temp AS YOUR PASSWORD. ONCE YOU ARE LOGGED IN, PLEASE CLICK ON PROFILE AND CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD AS YOU LIKE. PLEASE EMAIL US IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.

Please read the following guidelines.  You must read, completely understand and agree to the following prior to using our discussion board and click "I AGREE" at the bottom.:

SITE GUIDELINES, PRIVACY INFO AND DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY:

You must be of the legal age of 18 years old at the time you use this site, or have your parent or guardian's permission to do so.

Avoid telling someone else to "try" any treatment or drug - but you can "recommend" that they give the information to their doctor.

This is not a medical advice site, it is a Support Group.  Information posted here may not be from medical doctors.

The idea is to "share" what has worked for you so that others can ask their doctor.

Oftentimes, there may be a visitor who is extremely knowledgeable (or an accredited medical professional) who may post their knowledge on the site.  We welcome this as long as it is medically correct and they are not advising you other than that which your doctor has prescribed.

Do not follow the advice others may post here without getting written permission from your personal physician stating that this is a safe treatment for you.  WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR POSTINGS MADE BY THE PUBLIC WHO VISIT THIS SITE.  INFORMATION THAT HAS BEEN POSTED HERE BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE DISCUSSION BOARD COULD BE INACCURATE OR HARMFUL TO YOUR HEALTH.  AGAIN, YOU MUST GET PERMISSION FROM YOUR DOCTOR FOR ANY TREATMENT OR DRUG YOU ARE CONSIDERING.

Do not post inflammatory remarks toward others.

Do not use profanity of any kind.

Do not claim you have found a cure unless it is medically proven and you include references.

When posting:

1. Relax.  Think about what you are going to post before you write it.  Is it relevant? Is it accurate?

2. Are you posting in the correct topic area?  General questions should be in the Question Topic.  Doctors/questions about doctors should be in the Doctor Topic.  Treatments/questions about treatments should be in the Treatment Topic, etc...  Simple right?

3. If you are not sure of where to place your post, use your best judgment and place it where you think it should go.  If you post something that we feel is extremely useful in another section or may help others if relocated to another section - we may relocate it.  Do not take this personal, we would be trying to help newcomers to the board more easily find what they are looking for.

This board is for you, but there are only three designated people who volunteer their time consistently on the board.  We have many other supportive, helpful people who contribute. If you consider your questions and think them out carefully before you post them, it will be easier to answer them in a timely fashion.

Detailed stories, or a running update of your medical condition, or multiple symptoms must be posted in the Case History section. The poster can add "Please see Case History under . . ." and request answers be posted only in the General Discussion area.

Please, avoid use of symbols such as "smiley faces, frowny faces" because even though they are appropriate in private E-mails, they tend to give the support
site an unprofessional look.

Remember what you post on the help site is available for the whole world of Internet users to see.  Make your comments relevant and concise. We know you are upset as we have "been there," but if you are "together," you and this site will be more credible.  We are all working toward a cure and/or preventative for this disease and need to do so in a professional manner.

If you have or suspect you have a medical condition, go seek competent and adequate medical attention. This website is not intended to diagnose, treat, medically advise anyone whatsoever. The administrator is not liable for actions or lack of actions by individuals related to usage of the website. Please use common sense and see a doctor for any treatments. Although you may see talk of treatments, advice, medication, etc.. This site does not endorse or make claims of it's own on those subjects. You should never treat yourself using something or some idea you saw on the internet. That is not the purpose of this site. The purpose of this site is to provide you support by talking to each other & to give you an idea of what other's doctors are doing to treat them. THEN, you can print the information, take it to your doctor and then follow his or her exact instructions for treatment and nothing else. Self treatment and treatment not approved by a doctor is NOT SAFE. Any information posted here is done so by private individuals, is not medical advice and should not be construed as such.  Anything that the moderators or administrators did not post can not be verified for accuracy. Using this site is at your own risk.

This site is strictly intended to only share personal experiences so that when you go see your doctor, you will have a better knowledge of what she or he discusses with you and what questions to ask.

E-mails and passwords of our visitors are not distributed, shared or sold to any listing companies - so don't even ask! We discourage posting any personal, identifiable information on this site. You should not post personal information about doctors or anyone else (addresses, phone numbers, e-mails, full names, etc. without their consent). If you would like to exchange info of a personal nature - we recommend going to the chat area and giving an alternate e-mail address to someone for that purpose. You should avoid using your primary address on the internet.

That's about it. Enjoy! WE WANT YOU TO USE YOUR KNOWLEDGE GAINED HERE TO GIVE TO YOUR DOCTOR SO YOU WILL SNUFF C. DIFF
:-> Oh yeah, one more thing...
